Abstract: School readiness is a foundational predictor of long-term academic success and socio-economic mobility. In Djibouti, disparities in early learning outcomes reflect unequal preschool access, household-level differences, and regional disparities in service provision. This research addresses three questions: (1) What are the levels of school readiness across key developmental domains? (2) Which child-, household-, and region-level factors influence school readiness outcomes? (3) How do these outcomes vary across socio-economic and geographic groups? Drawing on data from 1,155 children aged 5-6 assessed through the International Development and Early Learning Assessment (IDELA), this research employs a multilevel mixed-effects model to estimate the effects of preschool attendance, caregiver engagement, and institutional context across four domains: literacy, numeracy, socio-emotional development, and physical development. The conceptual framework integrates Ecological Systems Theory, Human Capital Theory, and the Cumulative Risk Model to examine the interplay between home, school, and structural environments. Preschool attendance is the strongest predictor of literacy outcomes, associated with a 9.05-point gain (p < 0.001). Father’s participation in home literacy adds 2.64 points (p = 0.015), while the presence of a preschool-enrolled sibling contributes 3.92 points (p = 0.018). No statistically significant gender-based differences were found (p = 0.381). Parental education and behavioral engagement show strong positive associations with literacy and numeracy performance. Public school students score lower in numeracy than peers in private institutions (p < 0.05). Regional disparities are substantial. Preschool attendees in Djibouti-Ville score an average of 99.7, compared to 72.9 in Dikhil and 75.6 in Obock. Children in Tadjourah score 6.90 points lower than those in Ali-Sabieh (p = 0.026). Findings highlight the need for integrated policy reforms that expand equitable access, improve instructional quality, and strengthen parental engagement. Data-driven, multisectoral strategies will enhance school readiness and support Djibouti’s broader development goals.

Abstract: Cuban education has been recognized worldwide for its high quality in the educational teaching process, and the differentiated attention it pays to individual differences. Learning is one of the objectives, and attention to this is a concern of the teacher. At present, special attention is paid to an important factor for school learning, which is attention during the teaching-learning process, specifically its deficit in Primary School children who present attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. For this reason, a mobile apk that contributes to treating the deficiencies they present through games was projected as the objective of this research. This research is based on the original idea of Lic. Adonis Bota, who graduated in 2020, who in the defense of the course work contributed to the design of a video game for children with this type of disorder. To this end, a search has been carried out from a psychological, pedagogical and technological point of view for the patterns that characterize this activity, which allowed us to propose a series of recreational activities that interact and respond to the training needs of these children. The methods used for the research were Analysis-Synthesis, Modeling, Systemic Approach, Surveys, interviews and observation guide. The research is applied in the Josué País García school in the city of Santiago de Cuba located in the Vista Alegre neighborhood and has allowed us to verify the needs and the little use of mobile technology in this type of teaching, being a support point to insert knowledge acquired and change the reality of these children who need it so much.

Abstract: The actuality of the study stems from the imperatives of the new post-non-classical scientific paradigm, which presupposes unification of the scientific and mythological worldviews, when there is a need for theoretical interpretation of mythological ideas of humanity, and at the same time there is a need for using the mythological knowledge and metaphorical forms of their representation in scientific researches. At the same time, the mythological and metaphorical way of comprehending the world enables to bring together scientific ideas, find analogies and associations between different systems of concepts, thus acting as an epistemological access to complex/ambiguous concepts. Under such conditions, the fairy-tale being the metaphorical resource of human development finds actualization in modern psychological and pedagogical sciences, which studies the peculiarities of children’s perception and understanding of fairy-tale content, which is considered as a means of upbringing and education, a special source of the formation of aesthetic feelings. Accordingly, the article outlines the main aspects of the fairy-tale not only as a developmental and upbringing, correctional and therapeutic means of influencing children, but also as a teaching tool that allows conceptualizing the new pedagogical direction associated with the development of teaching fairy-tales and the implementation of the appropriate methodological support for the teaching fairy-tale in the educational process of both preschool and primary education. Some Ukrainian folk fairy-tales are analysed in a scientific and methodical way. The concept of a teaching fairy-tale, providing a new paradigm of preschool education, outlines the fairy-tale as a means of teaching certain mathematical, physical, and philosophical aspects/data of reality. It is shown that the fairy-tale as the embodiment of analytical knowledge in a "folded" synthetic form is realized in the sphere of archetypal ideas of humanity, which can be transformed into scientific and theoretical meanings in the process of developing the child's personality. It is believed that the deeper a child immerses itself in the world of fairy-tales and the more spacious this world is, the more philosophical and scientific meanings, as well as mathematical and physical knowledge the child will be able to perceive, acquire, crystallize and operate with in the future.
